GOODWELL, Okla- the Aggies softball team finished their road trip playing 17 games. The Aggies finished the Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic hosted by Langston University on Saturday as they split, losing the first game 6-8 and taking the second game 1-0.
Game One
Aggies would face Ottawa University. The last time that these teams met was on March 7th,2020, when the Braves defeated the Aggies 8-0. Aggies would be down 7-0 in the fifth inning, and Aggies tried to make a comeback, scoring six runs in the last two innings. Senior
Brielee Daniell hit a triple in the fifth inning, a double from Senior
Sarah Conley, a single by Sophomore
Haley Saur, and another triple from
Brielee Daniell in the sixth.
Junior
Toni Shawnee started on the rubber for the Aggies. Shawnee surrendered one run on four hits over two-thirds innings. Junior

Kenley Yocom, and Sophomore
Rylin Baker each entered the game out of the bullpen.
Brielee Daniell led the Aggies with two hits at four at-bats.
Game Two
Senior
Sarah Conley shut down McPherson College, tossing a complete game shutout, allowing five hits and zero runs while mowing down nine batters.
Junior
Meagan Bellar went 1-3 in the box.
Bryerly Avina,
Kaitlyn Fanning, and
Chloe Browning all would have a stolen base.
Aggies will be home on Friday, March 10th, as they host Langston University in their home and conference opener.
