GOODWELL, Okla- Lady Aggies softball traveled to Fort Worth, TX, this past weekend for a Sooner Athletic Conference matchup against Texas Wesleyan University. The Lady Aggies would split the series with the Rams 2-2.
Game one:Â A walk-off left the Lady Aggies on the wrong side of a 3-4 defeat.Senior Sarah Conley toed the rubber for the Aggies.Conley allowed four runs over six and two-thirds innings.Â
Aggies had eight hits Junior Kaycee Torres went 2-2 at the dish.Â
Game two:Â The Lady Aggies would emerge victorious over the Rams 7-4. Junior Kenley Yocom started in the circle and went three innings, allowing two runs off five hits. Sophomore Rylin Baker came in relief tossing two scoreless innings, and Junior Toni Shawnee picked up her first save of the season.Â
Junior Bryerly Avina went 2-3 with four RBIs.Â
Game three:Â Lady Aggies snuck past the Rams 3-2. In the first inning, junior Meagan Bellar walked in a run to go up 1-0. Junior Nicole Peralta singled to left field to score Brielee Daniell making the score 2-0.Â
Sarah Conley started for the Lady Aggies, and Conley tossed seven innings, allowing two runs off six hits and striking out two.Â
Four different Aggies recorded a single hit in the contest.Â
Game Four:Â The Rams would take the afternoon's final game, winning 10-0. As a team, the Lady Aggies finished with two hits.Â
Next, the Lady Aggies will head to Oklahoma City, OK, to take on the University of Science of Arts of Oklahoma on Friday, April 21 first game will be at 5:00 PM.Â
