Aggies baseball concludes the regular season at home

GOODWELL, Okla- The Aggies baseball team completed their 2023 season today, and the Aggies got swept by the nationally ranked Drovers in all three games. 

Game One: Freshman Esai Torres started on the hill for the Aggies. Torres tossed five innings, allowing seven runs off, eight hits, and stuck out two. Tate Nebhut and Braden Greene made their appearance from the bullpen. 

The Aggies found themselves down 0-2 early in the contest; junior Jhonn Cabrera doubled to left center, scoring Tucker Bond and making the score 1-2. The Drovers drove past the Aggies in the fifth inning, scoring five runs. 

Six different Aggies recorded a hit during the game. 

Game Two: Junior Kiebert Medina started for the Aggies, pitching five innings allowing six runs off of six hits, and fanning four batters. Bryan Rivera and Braden Greene tossed a combined two innings from the bullpen. Freshman Alex Rodriguez singled in the fifth inning, scoring the only two game runs. Sophomore Dylan Huges went 2-2 at the plate. 

The Aggies finished with eight hits as a team. 

Game three: Six different Aggies made their last 2023 home appearance from the bullpen. Dylan Hughs and Israel Gandara both got hits in the final contest.


Next, the Aggies will head to Oklahoma City for the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament dates and times have yet to be determined.
