Goodwell, OK — The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies volleyball team showed grit and determination as they triumphed over the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in a thrilling five-set match. This hard-fought victory marks another significant win for the Aggies, who displayed resilience and teamwork to clinch the final set and secure a 3-2 victory.
The match began with USAO taking the first set 25-21, but the Aggies quickly found their rhythm and came back strong in the second, claiming it 25-21. The Aggies continued their momentum into the third set, decisively winning 25-14. USAO fought back in the fourth, taking 25-18 and forcing a fifth set. With fierce energy, OPSU dominated the final set 15-10 to seal the match.
Several players contributed to the Aggies' success, with Taylore Alsaid leading the team in kills, recording an impressive 18. Brenna Moore and Taylor Silva followed closely with 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Silva also led the team in service aces, delivering three and adding a critical presence at the net with two blocks. Emma Coburn contributed three key blocks to strengthen the Aggies' defense.
Nyah Ulmer commanded the court with a standout performance, amassing 55 assists and guiding the offensive strategy. On the defensive side, Silva led with 17 digs, with Alsaid adding 16 and Ulmer contributing 12. This created a solid defensive front that kept the Aggies in control.
