GOODWELL, Okla. — The Aggies football team closed the 2024 season on Saturday afternoon, hosting the 17th-ranked Ottawa University Arizona Spirit at Anchor D Stadium. Despite a spirited effort, the Aggies fell 55-14 on Senior Day.
Senior quarterback Brandon Stephens. His 12-play, 75-yard drive knotted the game at 7-7 with 4:03 remaining in the first quarter. The Spirit quickly regained momentum, capitalizing on an interception return to build a 20-7 lead by the end of the first quarter.
Stephens added a second rushing touchdown in the third quarter, capping a 75-yard drive with a 3-yard score to make it 34-14.
On the ground, the Aggies were led by Martin Blake, who rushed for 77 yards on ten carries, including a 28-yard burst.
Through the air, Stephens completed 18 of 27 passes for 122 yards. Senior wide receiver Draylon Roberson led the Aggies' receiving corps with six catches for 30 yards. Dillon Laurer, Teandre Newcomb, and fellow senior Jalen Partida combined for nine receptions and 84 yards.
Defensively, the Aggies were paced by senior Aaron Acosta-Lewis, who tallied eight total tackles, including six solo stops. Charles Holmes, Treyveon Houston, and Zayden Hoots recorded seven tackles, while Tyvonne Jeffrie added six, including a tackle for loss.
