GOODWELL,Okla-In a thrilling mid-week matchup, the Aggies baseball team prevailed over the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers, scoring 12-10. This hard-fought victory marked the end of an eight-game losing streak against the Rangers, with the Aggies' last twin dating back to April 10, 2018.

The game started explosively, as Ryota Kusumoto smashed a lead-off home run, extending his impressive hitting streak to 25 consecutive games. Despite the early momentum, the Rangers seized control of the game, establishing an 8-4 lead by the fifth inning.

The Aggies launched a remarkable comeback in the top of the fifth inning, rallying to score three crucial runs and narrowing the gap. The Aggies rallied back, adding four more runs in a decisive eighth-inning surge, propelling them to a 12-9 lead and ultimately sealing the game.

As a team, the Aggies managed 18 hits. Two Aggies finished with four hits and two Aggies finished with three hits. 

After the win, head coach Shawn Joy shared"Proud of our guys. We've been close to winning here in the past but to finally get one feels great. it was a big win."

The Aggies will return home on March 15 to face Oklahoma City University first pitch at noon.
