GOODWELL,Okla-In a thrilling mid-week matchup, the Aggies baseball team prevailed over the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers, scoring 12-10. This hard-fought victory marked the end of an eight-game losing streak against the Rangers, with the Aggies' last twin dating back to April 10, 2018.
The game started explosively, as
Ryota Kusumoto smashed a lead-off home run, extending his impressive hitting streak to 25 consecutive games. Despite the early momentum, the Rangers seized control of the game, establishing an 8-4 lead by the fifth inning.
The Aggies launched a remarkable comeback in the top of the fifth inning, rallying to score three crucial runs and narrowing the gap. The Aggies rallied back, adding four more runs in a decisive eighth-inning surge, propelling them to a 12-9 lead and ultimately sealing the game.
As a team, the Aggies managed 18 hits. Two Aggies finished with four hits and two Aggies finished with three hits.Â
