GOODWELL, Okla- The OPSU Aggies softball team concluded their weekend series against Mid-America Christian University with a brutal outcome, facing a sweep by the Evangels. In both games yesterday and today, the Aggies experienced setbacks, falling 0-8 and 0-10, respectively.
Game 1 Recap:
In the first game of the doubleheader, Cadence Yocom showcased an impressive performance, pitching her second complete game of her career and season. The Aggies struggled to generate offensive momentum, finishing with a team batting average of 3-21. The Evangels held a solid defensive front, ultimately securing an 8-0 victory over the Aggies.
Game 2 Recap:
The second game proved equally challenging for the Aggies as the Evangels dominated the field, securing a run-rule victory. The Evangels surged ahead with an impressive 8-run third inning, establishing a commanding lead of 9-0. Despite efforts to rally back, the Aggies couldn't overcome the deficit, with the Evangels sealing the win at 10-0 in the fourth inning. Kaylynn Du Preez finished 2-2 at the plate.

Despite the challenging series, the Aggies remain focused as they prepare for their next matchups. They will return home for a four-game series against Wayland Baptist University scheduled for March 22nd and 23rd.Â
