Cheer Competes in NAIA Qualifying Tournament

GOODWELL, Okla- Aggies Competitive Cheer Team triumphantly returned to the NAIA qualifying tournament in St. Louis, Missouri, after a hiatus since 2020. The Aggies displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition, finishing in 5th place out of 7 competitive teams.

In 2020, the Aggies secured a commendable 7th-place finish with a cumulative score of 65.57. However, this year's performance showcased their growth and resilience, as they achieved a cumulative score of 62.71 with zero deductions, marking a significant improvement in their execution and technique.

After the competition head coach Mistina Merwin expressed" We placed 5th at Conference (out of 7 teams), placing our highest score of the season! The team did great and I am so proud of them. Placing 5th at Conference in our first year of Competition in over 4 years (meaning none of my squad had ever competed in a collegiate cheer competition) was a huge accomplishment! Looking forward to watching our program grow and succeed!"
