Goodwell, OK—The Aggies faced a challenging weekend in their four-game series against the second-ranked Oklahoma City University Stars.
Game 1 Recap:
The Aggies struggled against a strong Stars pitching lineup in the series opener, ultimately falling 0-16. Despite a tough outing, Melissa Carroll hit 2-for-2, highlighting OPSU's offensive efforts.
Game 2 Recap:
Game two saw more offensive action from the Aggies, led by Meagan Bellar, who delivered a solo home run in her fourth inning However, OPSU fell 1-12. Toni Shawnee started on the mound, pitching four innings and taking the loss, with Koral Sylestine closing the last two.
Game 3 Recap:
Saturday's first game was challenging for the Aggies, who were no-hit by the Stars' pitcher Shelbey Cornelson. Yocom, who was pitching responsibilities alone, recorded seven earned runs over five innings in the 0-8 loss.
Game 4 Recap:
The final game of the series was a closer contest, with OPSU scoring one run through an RBI from Chloe Browning. The Stars scored six runs in the 4th inning to seal the game from the Aggies.
