After the conference meet, head coach Cyrus Hall expressed, "I am so unbelievably proud of our women. We got 6 girls. We are the smallest team in the conference. Our 6 girls competed their tails off. It won't show in the overall team place, but these ladies were awesome! And they capped it off with a conference title in the 4x400m! I can't say enough good things about them.
On the mens side we battled. We hit some adversity with some injuries. And we left a lot of meat on the bone. But we had some field event guys step up big time. The goal was top 3. We failed. But failure is a good teacher. Lots of things I can do better as their coach. But I'm proud of their effort and their competitiveness.
Kamron Neal was big time today! 10.18 in the 100m is incredible! Wind or no win. He won both the 100m and 200m. Ran on our runner up 4x100m team".
We have one more regular season meet at Wichita State next week. So we'll take some people over and see if we can get some good marks before we get ready for NAIA Nationals in mid May.
Looking Ahead:
The Aggies are not resting on their laurels; they will be back in action at the Wichita State Shocker Open in Wichita, KS, on May 3, 2024.
