GOODWELL, OK- The OPSU Aggies softball team showcased their authority over Central Christian College in a doubleheader on Saturday, extending their winning streak to an impressive eight games.
Game 1 Recap: OPSU 3 - Central Christian 0
In the first game of the doubleheader, Koral Sylestine ignited the Aggies' offense with a single up the middle, securing the first lead of the game. Gracie Lankford followed in the 4th inning, driving in another run to extend the Aggies' lead to 2-0. Sylestine sealed the victory with a sacrifice fly, bringing Lankford home and finalizing the score at 3-0.
Kenley Yocom delivered yet another stellar performance, pitching a complete game shutout. Yocom allowed zero runs and only three hits over seven innings.
Game 2 Recap: OPSU 11 - Central Christian 0
In the second game of the doubleheader, OPSU capitalized on a Tigers error in the 3rd inning to take a 1-0 lead. Chloe Browning and Melissa Carroll extended the Aggies' lead in the 5th inning, contributing to a 4-0 advantage.
In a spectacular offensive burst, the Aggies unleashed a barrage of runs in the 5th inning, scoring seven runners to secure an emphatic 11-0 victory over Central Christian.
Pitcher Toni Shawnee delivered a standout performance, earning her 4th win of the season. Shawnee threw six innings, holding the Tigers scoreless while allowing only six hits and striking out six batters.

With their momentum soaring, the OPSU Aggies will return home to face a formidable opponent in #2 ranked Oklahoma City University on April 12th and 13th.
