ASHLAND, Neb. — The Oklahoma Panhandle State men's cross country team sent three individuals to the NAIA Blazing Tiger Classic on Saturday, which featured 26 teams, including three in the Top 25, and 341 individual finishers.

In the final race before the SAC Championships on Nov. 8, two Aggies set personal records.

Trevor Youngblood notched his PR by crossing in 26:48, while Joshua Samaron had his best 8k race with a time of 27:56.

Bramhan Matschek also raced well, recording a time of 31:15.

Coach Cyrus Hall's Thoughts …

"I thought the boys ran really awesome today. … They all ran well. Trevor and Josh both hit PRs, Trevor finally broke 27 (minutes) … Josh finally broke 28. And Bramhan was actually only 14 seconds off of a PR."

"Trevor and Josh both thought they had a little bit more in the tank," Hall said. "I think we can see some good things at conference. … We'll just have to see what happens."

"I'm very happy with how things went today. It's a big race, big course, kind of a national championship-type environment. … We couldn't have asked for a better trip, I mean, when you drive eight hours away from home for a competition, you want it to go well. … For us, we can all be really happy about what we did today."
