Goodwell,OK – Track and field team competed at the Fred Beile Classic, hosted by Doane University on January 31 - February 1.
Men's Sprint Events:
In the 60m prelims, freshman Dillon Bruington led the Aggies with a 10th-place finish at 7.15 seconds, while sophomore Jason Granillo followed closely in 11th place, clocking a personal-best 7.21. In the 200m, Granillo secured third place with a time of 23.11. Diego Hernandez also delivered a strong showing, finishing fourth in 23.50.
Women's Sprint Events:
Sophomore Ashlynn Perez shined in the 60m, qualifying for the finals and securing a fifth-place finish with a personal-best time of 8.05. Junior Breyanna Kemp delivered a standout performance in the 200m, finishing second with a personal-best 26.33, while Jamiah Clay followed in sixth place with a time of 27.21.
Distance & Mid-Distance:
Kamron Neal headlined the 600m race on the men's side, capturing first place in 1:24.72. Freshman Carolina Valenzuela represented the Aggies well in the women's 1000m and mile, finishing eighth (3:34.70) and 11th (6:11.07), respectively. Trevor Youngblood impressed in the men's 3000m, posting a personal-best 9:38.96 for ninth place.
Field Events:
Freshman Dillon Bruington finished 10th in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.04m (19-09.75) and sixth in the triple jump at 12.98m (42-07.00). Aspen Jolly cleared 4.15m (13-07.25) to place sixth in the pole vault. Ayden Hendershot led the throwers with a personal-best 12.95m (42-06.00) in the men's weight throw.
Relay Success:
The Aggie women's 4x400m relay team of Kemp, Ki'Anna Jones, Zoe Marsh, and Clay delivered a season-best performance, winning the event in 4:07.25. The men's 'A' 4x400m relay team, consisting of White, Perez, Mojica, and Granillo, placed third with a time of 3:44.92.
