Goodwell,OK- In a hard-fought battle at Bill George Arena in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, the Oklahoma Panhandle State men's basketball team faced a tough defeat against John Brown (Ark.), with a final score of 58-51 on February 13, 2025. 

Oklahoma Panhandle's Mike Carter and Amaree Brown performed stellar to keep the team in contention. Mike led the scoring and rebounding with 13 points and 10 boards, his first double-double. Amaree Brown finished with 12 points, three rebounds, and three steals. 

In the second period, Jerry Abushanab, whose clutch free throws, briefly handed the lead back to Oklahoma Panhandle. The game was tightly contested and saw periods of parity, with a tied score of 46-46 at one point, encapsulating the intense competition. Nevertheless, the Golden Eagles managed to pull ahead once more in the final moments, securing the victory with effective perimeter shooting and crucial defensive plays.
