OKLAHOMA CITY — The Sooner Athletic Conferenced announced its Netting Pros Softball Players of the Week for Feb. 9-15 on Monday, when pitcher Marin Jacobs claimed the honor for Oklahoma Panhandle State.
 
The award is the second in Jacobs' career, and it marks the 19th SAC honor for OPSU Athletics in the 2025-26 year, topping the number of SAC Athletes of the Week the Aggies collected across 2024-25.
 
Jacobs spun a complete game versus Kansas Wesleyan in the home opener on Thursday, leading the Aggies to a 2-1 victory by scattering four hits and one walk with just the one run allowed. The Bloomington, Indiana, native also struck out two Coyotes, and she helped her own cause at the plate by collecting one walk, one hit and scoring the walk-off run.
 
On the season, Jacobs has thrown two complete games in three appearances, working to a 3.57 ERA across 15.2 innings pitched.
 
Jacobs and the Aggies are off to Shawnee, Oklahoma, on Feb. 20-21 where they will play four games, starting with Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) and No. 8 Central Methodist on Friday.
