Bobcats Too Much For Aggies on Saturday

GOODWELL, Okla. — The Oklahoma Panhandle State women's basketball team (5-18, 2-15 SAC) was defeated by College of the Ozarks (16-8, 13-5) Saturday afternoon in Anchor D Arena, 81-43.

OPSU could not find its footing through the game's opening three quarters against one of the Sooner Athletic Conference's most well-rounded teams.

Trailing 66-25 through three frames, the Aggies did not quit as they outscored the Bobcats by three, 18-15, in the fourth quarter.

Over those final 10 minutes, Mar'kia Pratt scored six points and added four rebounds, and Serenity Casteel connected on a pair of three-pointers, finishing her day 2-of-2 from the field with six points. Heidi Rodriguez and Gaby Uribe both also knocked down triples in the final frame.

Zamari Reece closed the contest with an Aggie-high seven points, and Pratt dished out three assists. Breya Beck and La'Tommas Johnson-Nash tied for a team-best five rebounds apiece.

What's up next: OPSU looks to conclude its homestand on a high note Monday at 6 p.m. when it plays Central Christian College (6-17, 2-15).
