GOODWELL, Okla. — Oklahoma Panhandle State University Athletics has named Helen Poer and Zane Kreikemeier of the rodeo teams as the Mack's Motorsports Aggies of the Week from March 23-29.
Poer led the women's rodeo squad this past weekend at Garden City Community College by dominating in the breakaway. She recorded a 2.1 in the first go and a 2.3 in the short go adding up to a 4.4 in the average as the Gruver, Texas, native handily won the event.
Kreikemeier had a strong weekend himself, as the senior tie down and team roper out of Marlow, Oklahoma, won the short go in the tie down with a time of 9.3 seconds after his 10.9 in the long go, which was enough to put him in the money and tie for third in the average.
