Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 Bethany, Okla.—Aggie Baseball was met with hardship over the weekend as they fell three games to the Southwestern Christian Eagles in Bethany, Oklahoma (0-12; 0-11. 3-9).

Friday's game one set an ominous tone for the Aggies as they were shut out over seven innings, 0-12; Cesar Gomez would take the loss for OPSU. Game two bode the same for the Aggies, in a subsequent seven-inning shutout, 0-11, giving the Eagles their second win of the series, leaving Corey Ley with one loss on the day.

The Aggies kept fighting into game three, with senior Nate Kelly reaching on the first hit of the game, followed by a base on balls for senior Pierce Edwards and a hit by pitch on junior Jared Mayeda. A single from junior Kasey Leatherwood scored Kelly and Edwards, though Leatherwood was called out attempting second base, he was able to get the Aggies some much needed points. Luis Rodriguez stepped up to the plate and hit a sacrifice fly, bringing in Mayeda and the Aggies up 3-0. Two consecutive base on balls got freshman Frederick Frye and junior Juan Sanchez on, but a succeeding single from sophomore Aaron Moreno would result in a force-out fielder's choice on Sanchez and the Aggies left the first inning up by 3.

The Eagles answered back in the bottom of the inning, plating four runs, including a 2-RBI homerun by Southwestern's Vaughan. Southwestern added another three runs in the bottom of the third inning, and tacked on two more in the fourth, bringing the final tally 9-3 in favor of the Eagles, with Garrison Armstrong taking the game three loss for the Aggies.

The Aggies now hold a 9-17 record on the season, 4-8 in SAC play and are looking to get back on their home field this week to take on Sterling College in a mid-week double header on Wednesday, March 14. Game one will begin at 12 p.m. on Aggie Field.
