Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Goodwell, Okla.—The Aggies split a midweek double header and took home one win against Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Tuesday. The Rangers left with a game one win (15-3) but the Aggies prevailed and fought back for a game two victory (7-1).

The Aggies remained quiet through the first five innings of game one while the Rangers quickly took charge and stacked the runs early on. NWOSU accrued seven runs off six hits on Josh Casillas' three innings pitched, but were equally quick to pick up Charlie Marini in the fourth, tacking on another three runs. Brandon Rodriguez came in to close out the game but the Rangers continue the hot heating streak, adding five runs off three hits. The Aggies saw action in the fifth inning, with an RBI single from short stop Nate Kelly and a two-RBI triple off the bat of first baseman Jared Mayeda, but the Rangers' lead could not be surpassed and the Aggies left with the loss, 15-3.

The Aggies took to the field for game two in resiliency, determined to make up for the lackluster game one. This time they were quick to get on the board, plating one run in the bottom of the first. Leadoff hitter Gerson Padilla would get on with a double and was brought home by a sac fly from Luis Rodriguez. The bottom of the second saw three runs for the Aggies off a two-RBI home run from outfielder Pierce Edwards. Freshman pitcher Blake Tucker kept the Rangers silent for three innings and allowed just one run in the fourth to get the Rangers on the board, 4-1.

The Aggies displayed some stellar fielding throughout and the bullpen proved resistant as Tucker continued to keep the Rangers at bay through the fifth with no hits, and Colby Fuller entered to close and allowed only one hit in his two innings pitched. The Aggies continued their resurgence and tacked on two more runs in the fourth off a wild pitch and a sac-fly from Juan Sanchez, and saw another RBI sac fly from outfielder Jaylon Burnett in the fifth to maintain the lead, 7-1 where it would remain for the final two innings of the game as the Aggies came away with the win.

The Aggies hold a 19-26 record on the season and are 9-12 in conference, and a quick turnaround takes the Aggies on the road this week. The series against Central Christian College previously scheduled for April 13-14 has been moved up due to foreseeable inclement weather in McPherson, Kansas. The three-game SAC series against the Tigers will now take place on April 12-13.

The Aggies will return home for their final contest of the season as they take on Oklahoma City in a three-game SAC series on April 27-28. Saturday, April 28 will also serve as Senior Day for Aggie Baseball.
