FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma Panhandle State University volleyball team found the going rough in search of its elusive tenth win, falling by a 3-0 count at Texas Wesleyan University. The Aggies (9-16, 6-11 SAC) to the Rams (19-7, 14-3 SAC) by set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-16 at the Sid Richardson Center.
Hannah Murray and
Richelle Carroll each booked six kills to pace the Aggie attack. Murray also had six digs to her credit.
Seniors
Kendra Butler and
Ruth Ard each chipped in four kills and had good attack averages. Butler hit .444 for the match, with Ard at .375. Butler also was strong on the defensive side of the net with four blocks.
Setter
Keeley Johnston gave off 23 assists and made seven digs in the back row. Sophomore libero
Ashley Sanchez's nine digs toped the Aggie team.
The match was just the second this season in which Panhandle State did not have a service ace to its credit.
The Aggies will travel to Southwestern Assemblies of God in Waxahachie, Texas on Saturday (Nov. 2/1 p.m.) for its final regular season home match of the year.
