GOODWELL, Okla.— Panhandle Baseball headed to Oklahoma City this weekend to face the Oklahoma City University Stars in an SAC three-game series over Friday and Saturday (Apr. 19-20) at Jim Wade Stadium. First pitch of game one will take place Friday evening at 6 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. double header on Saturday.

AGGIES-AT-A-GLANCE: The Aggies hold an 18-21 record on the season thus far and sit sixth in the Sooner Athletic Conference ahead of MACU, SAGU, Central Christian and Bacone, respectively. The team holds a combined .303 batting average and .408 slugging percentage. Senior first baseman Jared Mayeda is currently pulling in at the first place spot in fielding percentage for first baseman amongst the SAC with a staggering 244 putouts in his 39 games this season, and skilled base runner Aaron Moreno holds the No. 24 spot in the nation in stolen bases with 18 so far this year- ten more than the highest number accrued by a Stars player. Short stop JJ Vaught also currently holds a No. 1 spot in the SAC in Assists with 104 on the year, averaging 2.74 per game.

The Aggies are coming off a recent match-up against Southwestern Christian, who is currently receiving votes, as they dropped two to the Eagles but took the game two victory 6-4.

SCOUTING THE STARS: The Oklahoma City University Stars are currently ranked No. 9 overall with a 38-10 record on the season and sit in second place in the Sooner Athletic Conference at 17-4. The Stars recently sealed a sweep over Central Christian over Apr. 12-13. The Stars are currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in overall batters struck out as their pitching staff has retired a total 412 on the season, so the Aggies will face a tough offensive challenge over the weekend. However, the Aggies' Yesiel Valdez is currently listed at No. 7 in batters struck out in the SAC with 74 on the season, just eleven K's behind the Stars' top starter, Bryce Milligan.

Free live stats for all three games will be available on opsuaggies.com and free live streaming will be available with OPSU's own Ethan Herrera on live play-by-play; links for the stream to be posted as they become available.
