GOODWELL, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggie Volleyball team hosted University of Southwest Mustangs tonight in Anchor D. Arena. The Aggies have played the Mustangs this past September in Hobbs, New Mexico sweeping them in threes straight sets. The Aggies tonight held the Mustangs and won in three straight sets yet again 25-15, 25-20, 25-14.
The Aggies had an impressive offensive evening with a team hitting percentage of .348, .333 and, the final set .361 with a total of 45 kills and 11 errors total for the entire match. The Aggies defense also matched their offensive prowess with 7 team blocks, 57 digs and 7 aces.
Sophomore libero
Gracie Soza led the team defensively with 17 digs, 10 set assists, and 1 service ace.
Ashley Sanchez had 11 digs and 2 services aces.
Mckenna Coppock had 6 digs and 1 service ace on the night.
Senior setters
Celenia De Leon Toribio and
Lesly Galarza led the Aggies. Toribio had 3 kills on 4 attempts, hitting .750. Toribio also had 11 assists, 1 block solo and 1 block assist.
Lesly Galarza had 21 set assists, 7 digs and 1 kill against the Mustangs.
Keera Parks had 7 kills, no errors with a hitting percentage of .875.
Alanys Ruiz had 14 kills, with a hitting percentage of .440.
Essence West had 12 kills, with a hitting percentage of .226.
Rebecca Candido hitting .400,
Zoe Fry hitting .214.

Julie Allen stated, "I am very proud of the team; it's such a great family to be a part of and watch them all support, encourage and share in it all together. Up next, we will head to Oklahoma City this weekend to continue play in the Sooner Athletic Conference. And I am looking forward to watch the Aggies continue to play as one."
The Aggies will play Friday, Oct. 15th at Mid-American Christian University at 7 pm and University of Science and Arts on Saturday, Oct. 16th at 2:30 pm.
