PLAINVIEW, Texas - In their final regular-season contest before the start of the conference tournament next weekend, your Oklahoma Panhandle State University men's soccer team would drop to the Wayland Baptist Pioneers 0-2.
In another game without sophomore goalie
Hugo Dutour, freshman
Javier Torres looked to fill Dutour shoes in his absence. The Pioneers paid no mind to who was in the goal as they came out the gates with a solid offensive push getting a shot off within the first ten seconds of the game. Torres would earn his first save of the night on the shot as many more came in the first half. The Pioneers would outshoot the Aggies 10 - 0 in the first half, with only a single shot finding the back of the net.
The second half would prove slightly better for the Aggie offense; however, they remained stifled by the Pioneer offense. In the second half,
Dennis Lippman,
Liam Pritchard, and
Allan Gamboa would get off the only four shots for the Aggies. However, the Pioneers would find the back of the net again, bringing the game to its final score of 0-2.
The Aggie men look to bounce back and continue their season Friday, November 5th, at home in the school's first-ever hosted soccer postseason match.
