LAS VEGAS, NM - The Oklahoma Panhandle State cross country team, headed west this past weekend to compete at New Mexico Highlands University against NMHU, El Paso Community College, Trinidad State, and CSU-Pueblo. The Aggie women finished 4th on the day, while the men did not qualify to place. 

The top finishers for the Aggies were Vanessa Gonzalez and Carlos Flores. For the women's 5k, Gonzalez placed 20th with a 25-minute finish. Followed by fellow runners Patti Gray(25:20), Yvonne Landeros(26:37), Molly Jones(27:07), Annette Gandara(28:58), Veronica Ray(30:00), and Rayne Quinones(32:28).

For the Aggie men's 8k Flores would finish first for the Aggies with a 36:34 time. Shortly followed up was Zach Madrigal at 39:26 and Hayden Boyd at 47:25.

The Aggies will head south this time to compete at Lubbock Christian University this Saturday, October 9th.
