GOODWELL, Okla. – Oklahoma Panhandle State University baseball won two-of-three games versus Central Christian College, taking the Sooner Athletic Conference series, 2-1. The Aggies (7-15, 3-3 SAC) swept Thursday's doubleheader, 15-4 and 7-3, but lost Friday's series finale, 9-6.
Lane Field led the Aggie bats in the twinbill sweep, going 6-or-8. Field knocked three, two-run homeruns in the pair of games, drove in six runs and scored six times, as well. He also had a pair of doubles.
Overall, Field hit .500 for the series and drove in seven RBI.
Catcher Jonathon Applebury amassed a .571 batting average for the series, going 4-for-7, with a homer.
Chris Galvan batted .556, going 5-for-9, scoring four times and driving in three.
While the OPSU bats were hot in the doubleheader, the pitching staff was equally blistering. In game one,
Markus Bracey threw the 7.0 inning, complete game victory. Bracey scattered six hits and did not give up and earned run. He struck out 11 Tigers' batters.
In series game two,
Blake Tucker gave the Aggies 5.2 innings, permitting just one earned run. Tucker struck out eight and did not walk a batter during his stint.
Austin Jacobs threw 1.1 innings of hitless relief to earn his third save of the season.
In the third game, OPSU found itself down 6-0, before battling back in the late innings of the 9-6 setback. Panhandle's four-run seventh drew the score to within 6-4.
Sam Bond went 2-for-2 with three RBI.

Josh Jones came off the Aggie bench to go 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles.
Chris Schraer also hit a double.
