OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – It took some extra effort, but Oklahoma Panhandle State University volleyball extended its current win streak to eight matches with its 3-2 win at Mid-America Christian University. The Aggies (8-1, 3-0 SAC) won the contest by scores of 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 15-12 over the Evangels (11-10, 1-2 SAC).
Essence West had the hot attack hand for the Aggies. West amassed 23 kills in 47 tries, with an attack average of .340 for the evening. She also had 14 digs on defense.
Sophomore
Sydnee Saunders also rolled up double-digit kill totals with 16. Saunders hit .208 for the match.
Setter
Celenia Toribio dealt 43 assists, as the OPSU team had 60 kills, overall. Toribio also led all players with 24 digs.
Gracie Soza chipped in 21 digs from the back row. Middle blocker
Ebony Dykes was a force on defense, as well, making five blocks.
