GOODWELL, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggie Volleyball team took on University of Science & Arts Drovers in Anchor D. Arena tonight, at 5 pm. In the second week of Sooner Athletic Conference play, the Aggies swept USAO in three, 25-15, 25-6, 25-13.

Julie Allen stated "I am pleased with the performance tonight. The team did an amazing job staying in control of the match, keeping the lead, and applying pressure." The Aggies maintained control of the match from the beginning to end, starting with the service line. The Aggies had 10 service aces compared to the Dover zero.
The Aggies (9-3, 3-0 SAC) ended the night with all 7 attackers hitting extremely well. Senior setter,
Lesly Galarza had 27 assists, 7 digs and 4 kills.
Zoe Fry with 7 kills on the night and hitting .600,
Keera Parks hitting .667,
Eduarda Souza hitting .250,
Rebecca Candido hitting .500,
Ebony Dykes hitting .333,
Olivia Cunningham hitting .214 and,
Essence West hitting .333. In total, the Aggies had over 33 kills versus Drovers 20.
Sophomore libero McKenna Coppock led the defense for the Aggies, she produced 6 digs and a service ace. Senior
Ashley Sanchez assisted in the defense with 5 digs and a service ace. In addition, sophomore
Gracie Soza contributed with 5 digs and 2 aces.
"It was nice to play at home in Anchor D. Arena. It was a great gym environment with amazing fans. I am very grateful for all the Aggie fans, families and sports teams that came out and supported us tonight," Allen said.
Aggies will face off tomorrow at 12 pm, Saturday, September 11
th, at Anchor D. Arena versus Mid-American Christian University (MACU). Following the game, we encourage all fans to come to the Tailgate and support our football team, which has a game at 3pm.
