Aggie Women's Soccer Stopped by Rangers

GOODWELL, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggie Women's Soccer team took on Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers at Carl Wooten Field, tonight at 7 pm. In addition, the Aggies set out tonight to make school history and set the attendance record for our Women's Soccer Team.

Head Coach Josh Davis stated "I thought the Aggie Nation came out in full force tonight. It was amazing to see that level of support for not only our soccer program but for a university."

The first half was full of heated contested battles, not one team had control of the ball for long periods of time. Then, Rangers were able to break away late in the first half and put the first ball in the goal for the night.

The second half started off with a quick breakaway from the Rangers, scoring the second goal. That did not stop the Aggies, the great ball control and field placement led to the Aggies scoring a goal. Emily Elliot scored the goal in the '31st minute. Unfortunately, the Aggies were not able to score again tonight against the Rangers. And, worked hard to hold off Rangers from scoring more, yet, the Rangers scored three more goals.

Davis said "Hats off to a very good Northwestern Oklahoma State University side. It was not our best game but, we saw very good moments of play from our Aggies. And a great goal from Emily Elliot." He continues "I want to thank everyone for making it to our game and hope to see them out on this Sunday."

The Aggies will take the pitch this Sunday, September 19th versus Texas Permian Basin at 2 pm at Carl Wooten Field.
