Box Score PLAINVIEW, Tx. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggie Volleyball team took on Wayland Baptist Pioneers in Plainview, Texas tonight. The Aggies head into the match 4-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC). As the Pioneers head into the match 3-1 for SAC.

Julie Allen said "we knew this match was going to be a battle. Both teams are doing very well in conference. It's a matter of who can control the serve and pass game."
The Pioneers and Aggies struggled to maintain control of the match, trading off points. Both teams having 61 digs on the night; that is 20.3 per set. Aggies able to hold the Pioneers to .165 on the night, from their normal 0.223. As the Aggies were held to 0.078 hitting percentage, from their normal 0.240.
Thou, the battle came to an end for the Aggies, losing in three sets 22-25, 19-25, 23-25. The Aggies had strong performances from
Essence West,
Ebony Dykes, McKenna Coppock and
Gracie Soza. West got a double-double on the night; she produced 14 kills, hitting .294 and, 12 digs. Dykes 3 kills, zero errors, hitting .600 and leading the team with 4 block assists. Defensively Coppock and Soza led the team respectively with 12 and 10 digs and 1 service ace each.
The Aggies will head to Siloam Springs, Arkansas for a match versus John Brown University on Saturday, September 18
th at 3pm.
