Box Score GOODWELL, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies hosted #37 rank in NAIA, Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) from Texas, Saturday at noon. The Aggies fighting to stay in the top half of the conference played SAGU who is currently tied for 1
st place of the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC).
The Aggies fought each point in each set, losing by a close margin each time. Set 3 went into extra points because neither team was able to string multiple points in a row. Unfortunately, the Aggies lost in 3 to the lions, 22-25, 20-25, 25-27.
The Aggies saw great success out of their middles, which the Lions were unable to stop,
Keera Parks and
Ebony Dykes. Parks went 6 kills, 0 errors on 12 attempts, hitting .500 and, provided 2 block assists. Dykes went 6 kills, 2 errors on 13 attempts, hitting .308 and, provided 1 solo block and 3 block assists. Outside hitter
Essence West, provided the Aggies with 10 kills, 8 digs, 1 ace, 1 solo block and 1 block assist.
Libero
Mckenna Coppock led the Aggies on defense with 15 digs and 2 service aces. Senior
Ashley Sanchez had 9 digs,
Gracie Soza had 7 digs and
Lesly Galarza had 6 digs and 18 assists.
The Aggies next match is Tuesday, September 28
th at 5 pm at University of Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico.
