OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggie Women's Basketball team completed their last game versus Mid-America Christian University (Okla.) Evangels, to complete the long road trip. The Aggies had three games in the last five days on the road.
The Aggies came out on fire, determined to match the Evangels, and ready to stop Mid-American Christian University. And, the Aggies did just that. The first quarter was tight, with lead changes and ties. The Aggies scored 17 points to the Evangels 19 points. Aggies posted up 11 rebounds to the Evangels 9.
The second and third quarters were challenging for the Aggies; the Evangels refocused and pushed the Aggies out of their comfort zone. Evangels held the Aggies to just 13 points to their 42 points.
Yet, the Aggies fought back hard in the fourth quarter, playing like the first quarter. The Aggies were able to put up 15 points, 6 rebounds and, 5 steals. Thou, with the valiant effort by the Aggies, they were unable to stop the Evangels. The Evangels won 83 -45.
Up next for the Aggies is to host Langston University on Thursday, January 27th at 6 pm at Anchor D. Arena. And, following the Aggies host Central Christian College (Kan.) on Saturday, January 29th at 2 pm.
