Aggie Volleyball Beat Southwestern Christian University in five sets

Box Score BETHANY, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Volleyball team captured the win against Southwestern Christian University Eagles, 25-16, 24-26, 26-24, 21-25, 15-13. The win puts the Aggies tied for fifth place with Oklahoma City University Stars. The Aggies will play Stars tomorrow, Nov. 5th at 1pm.
 
Fans got to see their teams, the Aggies and Eagles, go to battle for each point in tonight's match, which lasted for two hours and twenty minutes. The Aggies progressed to decrease hitting errors, put more emphasis on aggressive serves, and play tough defense against the Eagles .Thus, made it challenging for the Eagles to put a stop to the Aggies success.
 
Aggie's offense was primarily directed by setters Lesly Galarza and Remi Vargas. Galarza recorded a double-double by having 28 assists in setting and 14 digs in the match. In addition to that, she added two service aces. Vargas recorded 20 set assists, ten digs, and a service ace during the match.
 
Junior libero Gracie Soza set a new career high with 30 digs, which is currently her all-time best. Soza also added two service aces to the match. After Soza comes the senior Ashley Sanchez, who contributed 13 digs and two service aces to the team's total.
 
A senior outside hitter, Essence West, notched another double-double for the season. West had 20 kills, hitting .378, and 22 digs. After West comes  Ava Newby, a freshman right side, who had ten kills, hit.273 percentage, and contributed two block assists to the team's victory. Bryanna Rosario added nine kills, hitting .333, and Angela Youngs added seven kills, hitting .250 and six block assists.
 
Middle hitters Ebony Dykes and Laren Baldowsky contributed kills and solid blocks to the Aggies' victory over the Eagles. Dykes contributed to the team's success by adding three kills and six block assists. Baldowsky was responsible for three kills and three block assists during the match.
 
Next up for the Aggies, will be on November 5th, at 1pm, the Aggies will take on the Oklahoma City University Stars in Abe Lemons Arena.
