Box Score GOODWELL, Okla. – On Thursday, September 1st, the Oklahoma Panhandle State Volleyball (8-2, 1-0 SAC) swept the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Drovers (4-2, 0-1 SAC).
The opening set was a back-and-forth battle, with the Drovers holding a lead over the Aggies of two points or more throughout the first 15 points of the match. The Aggies took a timeout when they were trailing Dover 13-15, used it to formulate a strategy, and then put it into action. After scoring a couple points at each scoring opportunity, the Aggies went on to win the set 25-22.
Early on in what appeared to be a tightly contested second set, points were traded back and forth between the Aggies and Dover's team. However, around point 15, the Aggies stepped on the gas and started to gain ground on their competition. The Aggies won the set with a score of 25-19, therefore ending the match.
During the last set, the Aggies came out swinging and hit on all cylinders, preventing the Drovers from gaining any ground. prevailing in the set by a score of 25-16 and the first conference match by a score of three sets to none.
Key Highlights:
Remi Vargas, a junior setter, had 13 digs, 3 assists, and 2 service aces in the match.
Essence West, a senior outside hitter, had a double-double. She recorded 13 kills, 13 digs, a solo block, and one service ace in the match.

Bryanna Rosario had 7 kills and 2 digs.
Lesly Galarza, a senior who plays the setting position, with 26 assists, 6 kills, and 1 service ace.
Ebony Dykes, a senior middle blocker, with five kills, a.833 hitting percentage, and 2 solo blocks and 1 block assists.
Gracie Soza, a junior who plays libero, recorded 17 digs and one service aces.
