GOODWELL, Okla-The Aggies women's basketball team traveled to Fort Worth, TX, to take on number 17 Texas Wesleyan University.
In the first quarter of the game, the Aggies would make it a 5-point lead from a 3-pointer from Junior
Alonna Harvey-Williams, making the score 7-2 Aggies with 8:09 left in the first quarter.
The Aggies would hold the lead/tied throughout six minutes of the first quarter. The Rams would close out the first quarter on a 9-0 run, scoring 15-24.
In the second quarter, Junior
Sierra Tate would make a layup at the 7:58 mark helping the Aggies on a 9-2 run and scoring 24-26. That would be the last time the Aggie would get within 2 points of the Rams, and the Rams would end the quarter going by 13, ending off with a 67-90 loss.
Leading the way for the Aggies was Junior
Alonna Harvey-Williams with 15 points and two rebounds.
The Aggies managed 40 rebounds as a team, 29 being defensive and containing eight steals.
The Aggies' next game will be home on Thursday, January 19th, as the face UNT Dallas tip-off will be at 6:00 PM.
