GOODWELL, Okla-The Aggies men's basketball team traveled to Bethany, OK, to take on Southwestern Christian University Thursday night.
The last meeting between these two teams was on December 3rd in Goodwell, OK, where the Eagles snuck past the Aggies' 99-93.Â
In the first half of the game, Senior
Rayquan Elliott would score at the 18:22 mark to give the Aggies a 4-3 lead. Elliott would hit two free throws at the 17:56 mark to give the Aggies a 6-3 lead, the only lead the Aggies would have in the first half, and the Eagles would carve up the Aggies going up by 20 going into the half, 33-50.Â
In the second half, the Aggies would be down by 19 before a 10-0 run getting within 9 of the Eagles. At the 5:27 mark, Elliott would hit a three-pointer to get within 7. Sophomore
Kaleb Stephens would make an excellent layup to get within 5 points. Elliott would hit two free throws at the 2:57 mark, scoring 77-78. The Eagles would close out the game on back-to-back 3-point scores making the final 79-87.Â
As a team, the Aggies managed 42 rebounds with 11 steals.Â
The Aggies' next game will be on January 28 as they face Mid-America Christian University tip-off will be at 3:45 PM.Â
