Panhandle State University Aggies faced off against the Central Christian Tigers in men's soccer today at 2:30 PM. Despite a hard-fought match, the Aggies ultimately fell to the Tigers with a final score of 2-1.
 
The game was a back-and-forth spectacle that showcased the resilience and determination of both teams. Central Christian took an early lead, striking first with a goal in the 19th minute of the match, setting the tone for an exciting contest. The Tigers extended their lead with another goal on a beautifully executed play in front of the net, bringing the score to 2-0.
 
The Aggies, undeterred by the deficit, continued to battle. In the 58th minute, Bryan Little found the back of the net, narrowing the score to 2-1 and reigniting the hopes of OPSU fans.
With both teams pushing hard in the final minutes, it was Central Christian that managed to secure victory with a last-minute goal, closing the game with a final score of 3-1.
 
Darrel Yetedj and David Rubio came off the bench for the Aggies, each making a notable impact with a shot on goal. Their contributions demonstrated the depth and talent of the Panhandle State University team.
 
Head Coach Garrett Kull shared his thoughts on the game, saying, "This team has the fight. We had our chances and started to tinker with guys who are goal-scoring threats. It was tough to give up a goal in the final minute, but I was impressed by how the team came back from being down 2-0 and got that goal to make it close."
 
The Panhandle State University Men's Soccer team will be back in action at home on Tuesday, October 17th, at 3:30 PM, when they take on Texas Wesleyan University.
