GOODWELL,Okla- OPSU Aggies of the Week, honoring outstanding performances by CJ Campbell from the football team and Ava Newby from the volleyball team.
In their final home game of the 2023 campaign, the OPSU Aggies football team squared off against SAGU this past Saturday afternoon. The Aggies dominated the Lions with a resounding 46-23 victory, and the star of the game was none other than CJ Campbell.
CJ Campbell, a standout running back, exhibited his exceptional skills, finishing the game with 98 rushing yards on 13 attempts and two touchdowns. One of his touchdowns was a remarkable 45-yard sprint to the end zone, showcasing his breakaway speed and athleticism.
The OPSU volleyball team also concluded their 2023 season with home games against SAGU and Texas Wesleyan last week. Although they faced some tough competition, the highlight of the games was the performance of Ava Newby.
Ava Newby, an integral part of the volleyball team, displayed her prowess on the court, tallying an impressive 17 kills and contributing with 5 crucial digs during the two matches.
We are immensely proud of Cj Campbell and Ava Newby for their outstanding contributions to the OPSU Aggies. Their dedication, talent, and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and they are truly deserving of the Aggies of the Week honors.
