Oklahoma Panhandle State University Men's Basketball team battled fiercely against the University of North Texas at Dallas. The Aggies showed great promise in the first half, trailing by only one point at halftime with a score of 32-31. However, the second half saw a shift in momentum, resulting in a final score of 73-61 in favor of UNT-Dallas.

In the opening half, OPSU demonstrated a solid performance, shooting 41% from the field, 33% from beyond the arc, and an impressive 80% from the free-throw line. The team effectively contained #41 Connor Kern of UNT-Dallas, putting him into foul trouble early on.

Despite a promising first half, OPSU struggled in the second half, being outscored 41-30. The team faced challenges with turnovers, committing 6 compared to UNT-Dallas's 2, and a six-rebound deficit. This loss marks the Aggies' sixth consecutive defeat, prompting reflection and adjustments for the remainder of the season.

Head Coach Charles Belt, in a post-game interview, acknowledged the learning opportunities for the team. "There are things as a coach you learn. Next year, we will not have this much time off. It was too long, especially for a young team that doesn't know what to do over break to stay in shape and stay basketball-ready. I've also never had to coach rebounding; I've been spoiled. So, I need to take time to teach that. Saturday, we play a ranked opponent; hopefully, we come to the fight."

Looking ahead, OPSU will face SAGU at home on Saturday at 4 PM.
