GOODWELL, Okla- In a conference matchup against #23 Wayland Baptist University, the OPSU men's basketball team faced a tough challenge. Unfortunately, the Aggies couldn't secure the victory, falling to the Pioneers with a final score of 54-93. The previous encounter between these two teams on December 12th, 2023, also disappointed the Aggies with a close 71-73 loss.

During the recent game, the Aggies kept pace with the Pioneers for the first 5 minutes, but Wayland Baptist University managed to build a significant lead, going up by 19 points at the 10:29 mark of the first half. Despite their efforts, the Aggies couldn't recover, and the Pioneers maintained control throughout the game.

Fred Robinson IV played a notable role, leading the team with 14 points and contributing seven assists. Joe Greaves also made a solid contribution with 13 points and two steals.
The OPSU men's basketball team will return home to face the Langston Lions on January 18th. The game is scheduled to tip off at 8:00 PM.
