GOODWELL, OK – The OPSU Aggies men's soccer team came up short on Tuesday night, losing 3-1 to Southwestern Christian University in Sooner Athletic Conference action.
OPSU struck first in the 12th minute when
Saphir Salaouandji netted a goal off an assist from
Ayoup Bader, giving the Aggies an early lead. However, Southwestern Christian responded with three unanswered goals in the second half.
The Aggies struggled offensively throughout the match, managing only two shots on goal compared to Southwestern Christian's six.
Aron Kanyai, the Aggies' goalkeeper, recorded three saves during the game.
OPSU looks to rebound when it hosts Wayland Baptist University at Anchor D Stadium at Carl Wooten Field on October 19. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM.
