GOODWELL, Okla.—On Saturday afternoon, the Aggies men's soccer team faced Wayland Baptist University in a key Sooner Athletic Conference matchup. The Aggies could not find the back of the net, falling 0-2 to the Pioneers.
In a familiar scene, Wayland Baptist's Jamol Williams delivered the first blow of the game with a penalty kick, A PK from last season's meeting in Plainview, Texas. The Pioneers would add another goal in the second half to seal the victory, leaving the Aggies searching for answers.
The Aggies generated some offensive opportunities, registering nine shots, four of which were on goal. Senior forward David Rubio led the attack with three shots. Mauricio De Santiago was also active, firing off two shots on target.
