Goodwell, Okla. — The Oklahoma Panhandle State University volleyball team faced a tough challenge on the road against the Mid-America Christian University Evangels, falling in straight sets (20-25, 8-25, 18-25).

Despite a solid start in the first set, the Aggies struggled to maintain momentum, eventually conceding the match to a powerful Mid-America Christian squad that capitalized on aggressive serving and efficient attacking throughout the evening.

Leading the way for the Aggies, Ava Newby posted a team-high nine kills, while Taylor Silva added eight kills of her own. Freshman Taylore Alsaid chipped in with two kills. The Aggies distributed the ball well, with setter Nyah Ulmer tallying a team-leading 12 assists. Mia Sanchez contributed five assists, and Teagan Mendoza-Werner added 2.

The Aggies recorded three aces from the service line, with Alsaid, Sanchez, and Emma Coburn each contributing one apiece. Defensively, Cami Kenny stood tall at the net with three blocks, while Alsaid and Brenna Moore added two blocks each.

In the back row, Mendoza-Werner anchored the defense with 13 digs, followed by Sanchez with 10 digs and Ulmer with 9.
