Aggies Sweeps Southern Nazarene University in Mid-Week Series

 The Aggies baseball team secured victories in both games of their mid-week series against Southern Nazarene University. With final scores of 16-6 and 10-9,  and achieved a significant milestone by taking two games from the Strom for the first time since 2017.

Game One Recap:

  • The Aggies dominated from the onset, mainly blazing in the third inning with a remarkable display of 9 runs.
  • Back-to-back-to-back home runs from Jeremy Dibartolomeo, David Garcia, and Jose Arrieta highlighted the Aggies' explosive offense.
  • Tate Nebhut's solid performance on the mound, pitching six innings, earned him his first win of the season.
  • The Aggies collectively amassed 12 hits, demonstrating their offensive prowess and securing a comfortable victory over the Strom.

Game Two Highlights:

  • Despite facing an early deficit, trailing 7-2, the Aggies rallied back with a resilient offensive effort.
  • Ryota Kusumoto's three-run home run in the fifth inning sparked the Aggies' comeback, narrowing the score to 5-7.
  • Kusumoto continued to be a key contributor, tying the game at 7-7 with a crucial single in the sixth inning.
  • Jose Arrieta's double and David Garcia's subsequent single in the same inning propelled the Aggies ahead, securing a 10-7 lead.
  • Braeden LeJarraga's stellar performance in the seventh inning, recording his first save of the season, ensured the Aggies' victory in the second game.
