Aggies Volleyball Secures Victory Over Central Christian College in Four Sets

Goodwell, OK – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies volleyball team thrilled the home crowd with a victory over Central Christian College (KS). The Aggies took the match in four sets, securing their second home win of the season with scores of 25-14, 16-25, 25-11, and 25-12. Despite a minor setback in the second set, the Aggies bounced back with impressive skill and determination in the third and fourth sets to clinch the win.

Brenna Moore led the Aggies with 13 kills, followed by Ava Newby with 10 and Taylor Silva contributing 8. Nyah Ulmer delivered two aces, while Taylore Alsaid added 1. On defense, Cami Kenny dominated with four blocks, with Taylor Silva and Brenna Moore adding 2 and 1, respectively. Ulmer also directed the offense with an impressive 30 assists, supported by Teagan Mendoza-Werner with 3. Ava Newby led in digs with 13, Mendoza-Werner recorded 11, and Alsaid chipped in with 9.

Head coach Illani Myers praised her team's resilience after a challenging second set: "We took a bit of a hit in the second set, but we were able to refocus and turn it around. The girls were able to turn the excitement and nerves of playing on our home court into positive energy. We then became aggressive and finished strong in that third and fourth set."

The Aggies controlled the match's tempo with strong offensive plays and were able to defensively shut down Central Christian's offense.
