KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Elena Kagiali has been named the NAIA Attacker of the Week from Oct. 13-19, announced by the national office Tuesday afternoon.

Kagiali is coming off a week in which she notched 46 kills on a ridiculous .370 hitting percentage, accounting for 54.0 total points.

Following a dominant 16-kill, 15-dig, four-block and three-ace performance Friday in a win over Southwestern Christian, the redshirt senior smashed down her second 30-kill match of the year on Saturday at Oklahoma City.

In that 30-kill effort, Kagiali needed just 62 attacks as she also added 17 digs, four more blocks and an ace en route to her 33.0 point game.

On the season, Kagiali ranks 16th nationally with 373.5 total points, and she is tied-22nd in the NAIA in kills per set with a 3.75 average.

Her NAIA National honor is the volleyball program's first, and it is just the second NAIA National Athlete of the Week award for OPSU Athletics since it rejoined the association in 2017.
