GOODWELL, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University baseball team battled Southwestern Christian University in a doubleheader on Friday afternoon, earning a hard-fought split with a 1-4 loss in Game 1 before bouncing back for a 6-5 victory in Game 2.
Game 1: Southwestern Christian 4, OPSU 1
The Aggies struggled to generate offense in the opener, managing just one run in the seventh inning. 
Alejandro Hernandez provided OPSU's lone RBI, driving in Isaac Young with a double in the seventh. Despite the loss, starting pitcher Braden Greene delivered a solid outing, going the full seven innings while allowing just three earned runs on eight hits with two strikeouts.
Game 2: OPSU 6, Southwestern Christian 5
The Aggies bounced back in a dramatic back-and-forth contest in the nightcap. After trailing 4-2 in the sixth inning, OPSU's bats came alive, plating four runs to take a 6-4 lead. Xavier Garcia delivered the go-ahead blow, smashing a two-run triple to left center that brought Isaiah Halton and Kobe Morgan home.
Southwestern Christian threatened in the seventh, scoring one run and loading the bases, but the Aggies held on for the win. Halton finished with two RBIs, while Morgan and Garcia had key run-producing hits.
Up Next: The Aggies will return to take the series from the Eagles. Game three will start tomorrow at noon.
