FORT WORTH,TX – Aggies baseball wrapped their weekend series against RV Texas Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon, dropping all three games to the Rams. The Aggies fell 3-10 on Friday before suffering losses of 0-8 and 3-6 in Saturday's doubleheader.
In the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, the Aggies struggled to find momentum at the plate, managing just three hits in a 0-8 shutout loss.
Devin Lopez, Kobe Morgan, and Alejandro Hernandez recorded a hit, but the Aggies could not push any runs across.
On the mound, Braden Greene (L, 1-6) made his 10th start of the season, pitching four innings and allowing seven earned runs on 10 hits. Reliever Riley Rivera worked two innings, surrendering one run on three hits while striking out one.
The Aggies showed more fight in the series finale but ultimately fell short, 3-6. Alejandro Hernandez led the charge offensively, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Xavier Garcia also contributed with an RBI single in the seventh inning. The Aggies finished with 10 hits as a team, their highest total of the series.
Pitching-wise, Esai Torres took the loss, allowing three earned runs on four hits in just two-thirds of an inning. Leandro Tamaki provided relief, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts. Juan Javier closed the game, tossing two innings and allowing just one run.
The Aggies recorded their fourth triple of the season in the final game as a team.
