Chickasha, Okla. – Aggies baseball team hit the road to take on University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) Drovers on Thursday night in a nine-inning contest. Despite a strong effort, the Aggies fell 10-2 to the Drovers at Bill Smith Ballpark.
The Drovers took an early lead in the second inning, capitalizing on an RBI sacrifice fly and an RBI single to go up 2-0.
A big third inning saw USAO extend its advantage, with a grand slam by G. Hansen pushing the score to 6-0. The Aggies broke onto the scoreboard in the sixth inning. Kobe Morgan and Devin Lopez sparked the offense, with Ryota Kusumoto driving in Morgan on an RBI single. Isaac Young followed with a groundout RBI that plated Lopez, cutting the deficit to 7-2.
However, USAO responded immediately, adding insurance runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to secure the 10-2 victory.
