OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Aggies baseball team closed out their final Sooner Athletic Conference road games of the 2025 season with a 13-1 loss to Oklahoma City University on Saturday afternoon.
The Aggies broke onto the scoreboard in the third inning when
Isaac Young singled to center to bring home
Israel Gandara, trimming OCU's early lead to 3-1. Young led the Aggies at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance and tallied the team's lone RBI. Gandara also added a hit and a walk in the contest, while
Ryota Kusumoto,
Isaiah Halton, and
Jackson Somerville each chipped in a hit.
Despite a promising start, the Stars responded quickly and pulled away behind a pair of home runs
Aggie starter
Josh Doerr (2-6) pitched four innings, allowing six runs (five earned) while striking out five.
Riley Rivera and
Chad Berry combined to finish the game on the mound.
The Aggies now turn their attention to a non-conference doubleheader against Southern Nazarene University on Tuesday, April 15, in Woodward, Oklahoma. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 12:00 PM, with game two to follow at 3:00 PM
