GOODWELL, Okla. — April 18, 2025 — Aggies baseball split the Friday doubleheader. The Aggies dominated game one with a 14-1 victory before falling in a back-and-forth slugfest, 16-10.
Game One: OPSU 14, Ozarks 1
The Aggies wasted no time getting on the board in game one. Bill Bonner opened the scoring in the second inning with a three-run blast to left center, bringing in Jackson Somerville and Isaac Young. OPSU never looked back, scoring in four consecutive innings while racking up 12 hits.
Alejandro Hernandez broke the game open in the fourth with a three-run homer, part of a five-run inning for the Aggies. The power display continued in the fifth with back-to-back home runs from Somerville and Xavier Garcia, extending the lead to 11-1.
On the mound, Josh Doerr had a strong performance, going five innings with four strikeouts and allowing just one run. Zach Mayhew and Colby Diduch closed out the final two frames to seal the run-rule win.

The Aggies capitalized on four errors by the Bobcats and left just four runners on base in the lopsided win.
Game Two: Ozarks 16, OPSU 10
Game two was a slugfest, with both teams combining for 26 runs and 26 hits. The Bobcats jumped out to a 7-0 lead through the first two innings.
OPSU answered in the bottom of the second with a two-RBI double from Carson Wycoff and chipped away further in the third as Isaiah Halton singled in a run and Jackson Somerville belted his second homer of the day—a three-run shot to make it 8-6.
Despite the Aggies' push, College of the Ozarks pulled away with a pair of homers and a five-run fifth inning. A late rally in the sixth saw Noah Murphy-Sealy deliver an RBI single and score on a throwing error, but the Aggies couldn't fully close the gap.
